How do I search for my lost item?
Go to the Search Lost Items page and use keywords, location, or category filters to browse current listings. You can also post your own lost item report to increase your chances of recovery.
What if I lost my passport or ID?
You should immediately post a listing on GetItBk and also contact the relevant government authority or embassy for official replacement procedures. Our platform can help if someone finds your document and searches for the owner.
Is it safe to use GetItBk?
We use moderation tools, reporting features, and security measures to reduce fraud and abuse. However, you should always verify ownership carefully and meet in safe, public locations when exchanging items.
How long will my listing stay online?
Listings generally remain active until you mark the item as recovered or request removal. You can contact us if you want a listing deleted.

How do matches work on GetItBk?
Our system indexes new found and lost listings and surfaces potential matches based on keywords, location, and item details. Users can also manually search and compare listings.
What if someone contacts me claiming to be the owner but I’m unsure?
Ask for specific proof: unique serial numbers, photos of the inside of a wallet, or other details only the owner would know. Arrange meetings in public places or use verified mail.
Does GetItBk handle shipping or courier for recovered items?
GetItBk does not directly ship items. We help connect owners and finders; parties should agree on shipping or pickup. Consider insured courier services for valuable items.
What should I do if I find a lost phone?
